The Jack London State Historic Park WILD Trail Challenge invites hikers of all levels to explore the park’s trails over five consecutive Saturdays, covering 39.5 miles in total. Each hike increases in distance or difficulty, offering both a fitness challenge and a chance to experience the park’s natural beauty and historic sites. Participants can join individual hikes or complete all five to earn the title of “WILD One.”
Guided by knowledgeable staff and volunteers, the hikes highlight the park’s history, from the Wolf House ruins and Beauty Ranch to ancient redwoods, historic orchards, and Sonoma Mountain vistas. Learn about local ecology, and connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Sturdy shoes and water are recommended, and dogs are not permitted. The series provides a meaningful way to explore the park while challenging both body and mind.
