Robert Ferguson Observatory invites guests to an intimate stargazing experience with their “What’s Up” program. Unlike crowded public star parties, this monthly event limits attendance, allowing more time at the telescopes, personalized guidance from knowledgeable docents, and the chance to explore planets, nebulae, clusters, and other celestial wonders. No prior astronomy knowledge is required, making it perfect for individuals, families, or small groups seeking a hands-on, educational evening under the night sky.
Each session includes a presentation highlighting the month’s most intriguing celestial sights, followed by telescope viewing through all three observatory instruments. Attendance is capped at 40 guests to ensure a personal experience. Ticket prices include parking at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, and members receive a discount.
