The Center celebrates Lunar New Year with vibrant cultural programming and hands-on workshops throughout February and March, culminating in a special Community Day featuring live performances and family-friendly activities.
This free event includes traditional Chinese calligraphy presented by Sonoma Valley Council Member Jack Ding and Gigi Tan Pfleger, a Chinese Mahjong demonstration, and children’s crafts hosted by the Center’s Youth Arts Program. Guests can enjoy a variety of Bay Area AAPI food vendors and makers offering items for purchase. Live entertainment highlights include a dance performance by Hula Mai, founded by Betty Ann Ka Ihilani Bruno, followed by a performance from Redwood Empire Chinese Association, dedicated to preserving and sharing Chinese culture, language, and heritage.
