The Lake Sonoma Steelhead Festival at Lake Sonoma celebrates endangered steelhead trout returning to the Congressman Don Clausen Fish Hatchery to spawn. Held at the Milt Brandt Visitor Center, this free event draws thousands to learn about environmental stewardship and species preservation. Educational exhibits from partners like the Bird Rescue Center, Sonoma Water, CAL FIRE, the United States Coast Guard, and Sonoma County Bowmen highlight conservation and outdoor recreation.

Live music, arts and crafts, fishing-themed games, and interactive activities make it fun for all ages while emphasizing the importance of protecting natural resources.
