Siduri’s new tasting room, located just off the Healdsburg Square, offers visitors a personalized tasting experience, where you can enjoy wines by the glass, bottle or a perfectly curated flight to pair with delectable small plates prepared by an onsite chef.

Not the average tasting room, Siduri is a place where you can truly sit back and relax. Drop in for a casual seating experience, or reserve the Wine Flights and Bites experience, where you will enjoy five superb single-vineyard Pinot Noirs alongside seasonal food pairings.

Insider tip: The fried chicken at this place puts Roscoes to shame (that’s right Snoop!). You’ll have the chance to try a pinot from Willamette, Sonoma County and Paso all side by side and actually taste the difference.

Inspired by the century-old German tradition of spicing wines, co-founders, Crystalyn Hoffman and the late Anders Pederson set out on the bold mission of creating California’s first ever spiced wine. Fleur De Spice is their Gewürztraminer based spiced white wine, while their Original Red Blend combines California reds, brandy, and is lightly infused with fruit and spice. These flagship works of art are used to create a variety of palate pleasing cocktails in their recently opened Healdsburg tasting room. Upscale, yet fun and stylish, Spicy Vines welcomes guests to embrace the whole tasting experience with delectable farm-to-table small bites paired with wines from artisan winemaker, Doug Hackett, who has created their portfolio of un-spiced wines known as the Signature Collection.

Insider Tip: Drop in on a Saturday night for their lineup of live music performances. Have dinner before, then enjoy wines and light bites during the show.

With the purchase of Alegria Vineyards in 1990, Bill and Betsy Nachbaur began selling their high quality grapes to other wineries. In 1994, they decided to take the leap and create their own wines. Their dreams became a reality with the 1996 release of their exquisite 1994 Sangiovese. This boutique winery only sells about 3,000 cases of wine per year. ACORN specializes in field-blended wines, which contain grape varietals that are grown, harvested, crushed and co-fermented together. Their 120 year old vineyard is home to sixty different grape varietals that range from the well-known to the obscure. Find your favorites blended with varietals such as Freisa, Blue Portuguese or Muscat Noir. Make a reservation in their tasting room to enjoy a personalized experience from Bill and Betsy themselves. The $15 tasting fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle of wine.

Insider Tip: Do not be turned off by the fact that you have make an appointment, the private tasting and intimate setting are so worth it. The Dolcetto is amazing, don’t miss it.

The Gallery Bar + Bistro at Barndiva

Known locally as an art gallery by day, Studio Barndiva is host to private dining experiences and dancing by night. They decided to add another element of eclectic style into the mix with the addition of The Gallery Bar and Bistro. It spotlights a curated selection of handmade spirits that are simple and elegant, prepared with only three ingredients or less. The Gallery also features a classic French bistro menu with a lounge-style medley of dishes made to indulge your culinary senses. Every Sunday, they offer prix-fixe French Country dinners, with tasty plates such as the Filet Mignon Burger and the Beef Wellington.

Insider Tip: Check out the Somm’s Table, a specially selected collection of wines showcasing some of the most exceptional wines in the Sonoma Valley. A monthly rotating lineup is offered for sale at the Gallery.

In 2013, Sonoma Cider joined the ranks of a few in the valley who have restored the custom of producing craft ciders. Now their newly opened Taproom and Restaurant gives cider lovers the chance to sample its collection of customer favorites like Limited Runs and Cidermaker Reserves, as well as micro-release ciders that you can only get from the taproom. Locally produced wines and Taylor Maid Farms Nitro Coffee will also be on hand for you to enjoy. Boasting a full 5500 square feet of space, there are large team-based games and a massive entertainment area that will host live music, comedy shows and other special events.

The French and Basque-styled menu features apple inspired dishes designed to pair perfectly with the unique ciders.

Insider Tip: It’s a bit tucked away behind an antique shop so unless you know about it – it’s not as if you’d drive by and think to stop here. It’s a great space indoors but their outdoor seating is perfect for you and a furry friend.
