The Santa Rosa Turkey Trot returns to Old Courthouse Square this Thanksgiving, rain or shine! Participants can enjoy the new 2025 flat figure-eight course, winding through downtown and along the Prince Memorial Greenway. The chip-timed 5k is suitable for runners, joggers, and walkers of all levels, on a mix of pavement and packed dirt.

Children under 5 can join the TINY Turkey, a fun 50-yard dash around the square. Costumes are encouraged, adding festive flair to the morning. Race start times are 8:30 AM for the Turkey Trot 5k and 9:30 AM for the TINY Turkey.

This community event, hosted by Learning is Open—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit—supports the Redwood Empire Food Bank, combining fitness, fun, and giving back. Whether running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, participants will enjoy a lively Thanksgiving tradition for the whole family.
