Cornerstone Sonoma is pleased to announce a Kokedama String Garden Workshop. Kokedama (moss ball) is a Japanese art form of living sculpture suspended in air. Very similar to bonsai, the plant and roots of a kokedama are contained in a small space. Its form and preparation represents the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic principles, defined as one of beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.”

With guidance from instructor Cathrina Susoev (the Kokedama Mama), participants will learn how to make a kokedama string garden using a variety of beautiful plants and take home the finished product at the end of class. All supplies, as well as instructions for assembly and care, are included.
