Family Day at Robert Ferguson Observatory is a fun, educational experience designed for families with children ages 12 and under. Guests explore the wonders of the solar system through hands-on activities, interactive learning stations, and engaging outdoor discovery focused on planets and the Sun.

This special program encourages curiosity about astronomy and our cosmic neighborhood in an accessible, family-friendly setting. Advanced tickets are required, attendance is limited, and each group must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone. A State Park parking fee applies upon arrival.

Because part of the program is outdoors, visitors are encouraged to bring sun protection, water, and hats. Families may also enjoy the nearby picnic area before activities begin, making it a full day of learning, exploration, and celestial adventure.
