Julie will examine the impacts of food choices from production through consumption and assess if being plant-based is enough to ensure the protection of endangered ecosystems.
Dr. Julie Sinistore is a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) project director. She analyzes the environmental burdens and benefits of the production, use, transportation, and disposal of goods and services like agricultural products, electronics and construction products. Julie also teaches courses on Life Cycle Thinking and Sustainable Product Design in the mechanical engineering department at UC-Berkeley.
