Weill Hall Green Music Center

Welcome

Located on the campus of Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, Weill Hall at the Green Music Center is one of Northern California’s premier concert venues, known for exceptional acoustics, world-class performances, and a uniquely intimate listening experience. Opened in 2012, Joan and Sanford I. Weill Hall was designed to echo the sound quality and audience connection of renowned venues like Vienna’s Musikverein and Boston Symphony Hall, making it a sought-after destination for classical music, jazz, contemporary concerts, film screenings, lectures, and cultural events in Sonoma County.

The 1,400-seat hall combines architectural beauty with acoustic precision. Seating spans three levels, including an orchestra floor, choral circle, and balcony with views toward the Sonoma Mountains. Handcrafted wood seating and adjustable acoustic systems are engineered to maintain rich, balanced sound whether audiences are full or sparse, creating a consistently immersive concert experience.

A standout feature is the hall’s retractable rear wall, which opens to the landscaped Weill Lawn during seasonal performances, allowing guests to enjoy outdoor concerts, picnics, and live music under the stars. As home to resident arts organizations including the Santa Rosa Symphony and Sonoma Bach, Weill Hall Green Music Center offers year-round programming that attracts music lovers, performing arts enthusiasts, and Wine Country visitors seeking memorable live entertainment near Napa and Sonoma.
