Before the holidays kick into full gear, take some time for yourself to enjoy what Sonoma, California has to offer. With a wide range of events, you’ll have a lot to see, do, and sample this November.

November 7, 2015

Farm to Fork Feast at Olympia’s Valley Estate – Petaluma, CA 5:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.; Tickets start at $150 per person Come out for an evening of divine food and drink. Prepared by Rocker Oysterfeller’s renowned chef, Brandon Guenther, you can look forward to plate after plate of delicious dishes prepared by locally-sourced, organic ingredients. Stay for dinner and continue the evening with the VIP reception where you can meet local artisan cheese makers, attend a sit-down dinner, bid on fantastic items in a live auction, and dance to live music.

A Wine and Food Affair – Sonoma County, CA 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; $70 for the whole weekend, $50 for Sunday, $30 for designated drivers Follow the Wine Road through the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys in this quest for the perfect glass of wine. Intended for those 21 and older, you can make your way through the gorgeous countryside of Sonoma County to over 100 wineries and vineyards! This is one of the biggest tasting weekends in the country, so make sure you’re ready for a safe and responsible road trip as you taste the region’s most delicious wines.

Fall Food & Wine Pairing at Gloria Ferrer Caves and Vineyards – Sonoma, CA 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; $55 wine club members, 60 general admission This afternoon is full of bubbles and breathtaking views. When you arrive, settle yourself in a comfortable seat under the grape covered arbors and marvel at the lovely views of the Vineyard below. Then, prepare your mind and mouth for a variety of tastes and textures as the Vineyard’s experts walk you through what makes for an exquisite wine and food pairing. Attending this event will ensure that youíre ready to host the perfect dinner party this winter.

Dane Cellars Winemaking Dinner at Suite D – Sonoma, CA 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; $85 per person Dane Cellars is joining forces with the chef of Suite D, Bart Hansen, to bring attendees a wondrous palate of flavors. Attendees of this dinner can expect nothing but the best in food and wine pairings. With a focus on Mexican flavors and five wines, save room for a number of courses from Butternut Squash & Chicken Empanadas to Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder to zeppoles and churros. Come with friends and leave with a few news ones at the end of this mouthwatering meal.

5th Annual Sensory Analysis and Blending Trial at D’Argenzio Winery – Santa Rosa, CA 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.; $60 wine club members, $100 general admission Combine the swanky and casual with a fabulous afternoon at D’Argenzio Winery. The fancy comes from the generous pours of rare variety blends and the laid back comes from the menu of pizza and salad provided by Cibo Rustico Pizzeria. Enjoy some of the elegant flavors while you learn more about wine from winemaker, Sandro Tamburin. Then, try your own hand at blending your own with a tutorial on how to create the perfect Super Tuscan wine.

Holiday in Carneros at Carneros Winery – Vineburg, CA 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; $50 general admission, $125 VIP Get your appetite ready for Thanksgiving with Holiday in Carneros. This event is all about dining and drinking the most delicious food and wine. Chat with the local winemakers and enjoy exclusive barrel tastings too. Who knows, you might even bring home a tip or two to spice up your Thanksgiving menu.

Heart of Sonoma Valley Holiday Open House – Sonoma Valley, CA 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; $45 general admission Winemakers, wine enthusiasts, and newcomers alike can all join together in this weekend dedicated to celebrating great wine. With 18 participating wineries and vineyards, you can travel throughout the region to taste, talk, explore the caves and cellars, and share in the joy of drinking a perfect glass of wine. Plus, you can get started holiday shopping by stocking up on bottles of wines and gifts from shops along the way.
