Join Certified California Naturalist John Lynch at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park for a spooky 3-mile, 3.5-hour hike from Creekside to Hillside and back. Explore Halloween-themed wonders like witches’ butter, flying saucer galls, skeletonized leaves, and ghostly sheet web spiders. Check out the bat house, discover seasonal treats like seeds, nuts, and berries, and enjoy spooky stories along the trail.

All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Meet at the White Barn parking lot. Bring water, sun protection, appropriate clothing and footwear, and optional snacks. Parking fees apply; heavy rains cancel. Trails include gravel, dirt roads, and a mostly flat meadow section—accessible to strollers and wheelchairs for part of the route, though not fully ADA compliant. Experience nature, seasonal discoveries, and spooky Halloween fun!
