Breck Parkman, Senior State Archaeologist and Tribal Liaison, California State Parks, Bay Area & Sonoma-Mendocino Coast Districts, will discuss “Stone Age Economics.” A look at four basic “Business” concepts found among local California tribes during Pre-Contact times: Wealth (obsidian trade), Productivity (basketry), Growth (acorn technology) and Globalization (shell bead money).
